Lead Pastor / Overseer
Alex grew up in Wichita, Kansas playing drums, working at his family's farm store, and reviving old muscle cars with his dad. He married his high school sweetheart, Krystin, and together they have 2 beautiful children named Nora and Axel. Alex gave his life fully to Jesus at age 20 and has been dedicated to helping others find the same hope ever since.
Pastor of Youth and Worship
Andrew’s love’s can be summed up into 3 categories: Jesus, Music and Star Wars. He loves hunting for Vinyl Records and has been playing guitar since age 10. The guitar was instrumental (pun intended) in taking his Faith deeper. He has a heart for equipping students to become Kingdom Workers and loves seeing God work through them.
We believe that God loves you and has a purpose for your life. "Church" in the Bible has always pointed towards a group of people who are following God together. We can't be a Church or make a difference in Independence without you.
Hayley loves teaching, creating, and getting messy. She loves decorating and switching things up to keep life interesting, but she loves kicking back with a comfy blanket and a book at the end of the day.
Carrie and her husband, Todd moved from Joplin, MO to Independence in June 2015. They have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Not growing up in a Christian home, Carrie has a deep desire to plant eternal seeds of truth in the hearts of children because they are the future. She wants to help others have a relationship with Christ and not just believe!
When the city of Independence fought to annex its schools from the Kansas City Missouri school district, its vision was to create neighborhood centers of hope. These centers would be a place of celebration, learning, and healing. A place where families could both entrust their children and also receive resources for the whole family.
Revive Church is continuing that hope by partnering with Van Horn High School. We aim to join the effort in meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs by offering Christ’s presence to Independence, being a partner to the community.
We are joining hands with others in Independence, walking with God, and witnessing to his work in reviving hearts and lives--bringing new life to the neighborhood.
